Message from the President

Perseverance and success in school have been clearly established as priorities by the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport. The Québec Federation of Parents’ Committees has repeatedly and vehemently insisted on the importance of making it an absolute priority. And therefore what better slogan for our convention than Perseverance is Power. Make it Happen!

This theme is a direct reference to the participation of parents in the success of their children. Take advantage of the convention to stack up on resources, tips and ideas that will make you even better at helping and supporting them. There are numerous talks to choose from, all of them extremely interesting, and the variety is arguably the best yet. The subjects include how to be an effective parent, never giving up on reading, and the importance for children to believe in their dreams. Add discussion and entertainment, and you have a menu sure to please all palates!

I’m convinced that you’ll leave the convention chock-full of ideas for continuing to champion your child’s educational success and for being a full-fledged partner in the public education system.

Best wishes to all for an excellent convention!
François Paquet
President, QFPC

About the logo…

The logo is the visual representation of the slogan of the convention: Perseverance is Power. Make it Happen!

The winding road stretches to the horizon. It depicts the challenge-strewn path of students on their educational journey. The road gradually becomes a diploma, a symbol of success and achievement.

To the right, following the curves of the road, is the slogan.

The background is green, the colour of hope and the colour associated with the idea of moving ahead (students are “given the green light” to succeed).
